Comprehensive Health Services Announces New
HybridHealthSM Service Line
Company Names Top Industry Executive to Launch Line
That Will Include Expanded Health Care Services
VIENNA, VA – November 14,
2006 –Comprehensive Health Services (CHS), a nationwide workforce health management company, today announced the launch of HybridHealthSM, an extension of its onsite health care programs that includes expanded health care services for client employees, retirees, and their dependents. These expanded services will include the provision of a broader range of treatment and prevention programs focused on acute and chronic health conditions.
With the formal launch of this new service line, CHS delivers Fortune 1000 commercial and government customers expanded onsite health care services that extend well beyond traditional occupational health and wellness services and take a comprehensive approach to employee, retiree and dependent health care when requested by the client.
As part of CHS’ commitment to the new HybridHealth initiative, Stuart Clark, a leader in the onsite health care industry, has joined CHS as executive vice president. Previously, Clark served on the CHD Meridian/I-trax, Inc. (Amex:DMX) management team, where he was the executive vice president overseeing the company’s four onsite operating divisions. Clark joined American Occupational Health Management, Inc., a predecessor to CHD Meridian, in 1991 in its start-up phase, serving in various operations and development roles.
“Stuart’s expertise and demonstrated commitment to the industry make him the ideal person for both our expanded onsite initiative and the future of CHS,” said Mel Hall, CEO of CHS. “Our three-pronged approach to workforce health—worksite health care programs, a national provider network, and medical readiness teams—has earned the trust of the largest corporations and government agencies nationwide because of our exceptional in-house team, our proven best practices, and our 30-year track record of innovation to meet the changing demands of the marketplace. The reality is that CHS has been providing expanded, hybrid health care services for a long time, but now we are going to the next step for our clients by delivering even more services onsite with a credible, verifiable method for measuring outcomes.”
Adding to this, Clark commented, “CHS has the vision and fortitude to compete and to lead in this industry. CHS will bring thought leadership and capital commitment to research and development projects that create value for large employers who embrace onsite health care, like the current project underway with the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University. Leadership in this industry requires commitment to human capital and an ownership structure that is consistent with a long term plan. I am here because CHS is in this for the long run, and we are going to raise the standard in the industry.”
The HybridHealth initiative will become one of the customized services that CHS employs when designing and managing nationwide workforce health programs. Designed to build healthier, more stable and productive workforces and to reduce and control rising health care costs, CHS services include onsite health centers, nationwide medical exams and screening programs delivered through 12,000 physicians in 10,000 clinics in 50 states, wellness and health promotion programs, absence management, and environmental health and safety. Each are available individually, in clusters, or as an integrated health program.
