CHS Vice President Ted Vickey Co-Authors
“Complete Idiot’s Guide To Working Out With A Partner”

Comprehensive Health Services Fitness Center Director Motivates People To Become Active

VIENNA, VA. - Nov. 9, 2004 - Ted Vickey, co-author of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Working Out With a Partner” (Alpha Books, Sept. 2004), has spent 13 years motivating people to better health and fitness in his job as executive director of workplace athletic centers operated by Comprehensive Health Services (CHS), a national occupational health services company based in Vienna, Va.

Vickey is vice president of CHS and president of FitWell, a wholly owned subsidiary of CHS, which offers onsite fitness centers to clients, including many prominent government and business organizations, across the United States. In addition to fitness centers, CHS offers a combined lifecycle approach to employee health, including worksite health, medical exams, disability and case management, wellness, and environmental health and safety.

In his first book, co-authored with Aimee Labrecque Vickey shares the secrets of creating a strongly motivating partner fitness program to build camaraderie, teamwork and companionship into the daily gym routine.

“ Ted’s work truly is typical of the caliber of CHS employees,” said Mel Hall, chairman and CEO of CHS. “Ted’s clients know that his approach to making wellness a lifelong passion works. Now, his method of partnered workouts can help people everywhere, and we’re pleased to support his book.”

CHS executives are regular speakers and subject-matter experts on a variety of employee health-related topics. The organization’s staff includes highly respected corporate medical director William S. Wanago, M.D., a full-time OSHA expert, full-time medical review officers and numerous senior-level occupational health nurses. CHS operates a network of 12,000 board-certified physicians and 10,000 facilities across the United States, working with many government agencies and Fortune 500 companies.
