Comprehensive Health
Services To Present Panel Discussion
at Sourcing Leadership 2006
CHS,
Staples to Discuss Preparedness Plans for a Pandemic
VIENNA, VA – October 12,
2006 – Comprehensive Health Services
(CHS), a nationwide occupational health and wellness
services company, today announced that Dr. Bill Wanago,
CHS Chief Medical Officer, and Tara Santry, VP, Staples,
will present a panel session on November 2 at Sourcing
Leadership 2006, the Sourcing Interests Group’s
30th semi-annual conference. Together they will discuss
“Corporate Wellness - Is Your Supply Preparedness
Plan Ready for a Pandemic?”
“We’re honored to detail the
unique business continuity risks to the leading corporate
executives and top sourcing advisors attending this
important conference,” said Dr. Wanago. “It
is crucial to understand risks such as avian flu when
operating any business today. Enterprises need to update
their Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans to
deal with emergency response, crisis management and
business recovery. We’ll present how this can
be done.”
Dr. Wanago continued that due to its sudden
nature, universal impact, number of people it might
affect and effect on national infrastructure, a serious
outbreak of avian flu will stress the use of BCM plans.
Participants will benefit from learning government/industry
regulations and issues, supply chain issues, lessons
learned from SARS and prior pandemics, what to do before
and upon an outbreak of an escalating pandemic, challenges
for your company, and challenges for the Health Care
System.
The session, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on
Thursday, Nov. 2, will be held at the Sourcing Leadership
2006 at the Rancho Las Palmas in Rancho Mirage, CA.
The conference will feature workshops, leading-edge
panel discussions and presentations, covering advanced
sourcing strategies, lessons learned, and the “how
to” of the world of sourcing.
