Comprehensive Health
Services Wins Employee Exam Contract with Department
of Homeland Security's Border and Transportation Security,
Customs and Border Protection
VIENNA, VA.
– Sept. 20, 2005 – Comprehensive
Health Services (CHS), a nationwide occupational health
and wellness services company, today announced that
it has been awarded a contract by the Department of
Homeland Security for Border and Transportation Security,
Customs and Border Protection to conduct employee physical
exams at its Grand Forks, North Dakota facility.
CHS will provide all
personnel, materials, services and facilities to conduct
the exams, with all employees having access to these
exams within a 30-mile radius of Grand Forks. The program
focuses on employees over the age of 40.
“Our extensive
network of CHS-credentialed physicians allows us to
meet the specifications of government contracts such
as these, where employees are dispersed across the country,
and must receive service within a reasonable distance
to a certain location,” noted Gary Palmer, CHS
vice president. “Also, CHS’ physician credentialing
process ensures that exams are performed consistently,
particularly when addressing a specified population
– in this case, employees over the age of forty.”
CHS has also provided
employee exams for the Transportation Security Administration
and the Kennedy Space Center. The Company’s proven
best practices have allowed it to build exam programs
that are convenient, consistent and ensure customers
meet all regulatory compliance requirements, including
OSHA and ADA.
