Comprehensive Health Services International, Inc., a subsidiary of CHS, provides a spectrum of medical support services both nationally and internationally.

CHS International’s services include onsite health units, medical exams programs, behavioral health and mobile, global medical support teams that currently serve as a vital resource to U.S. Department of Defense and Department of State initiatives worldwide.

The company has proven itself as a quality provider of pre-deployment medical evaluations in accordance with DoDI 3020.41 and can meet all pre-deployment medical needs. CHS deployment planners have many years of military and deployment planning experience. The CHS International team understands the unique medical challenges presented by remote or austere environments and can plan and provide medical support for deployed operations based upon specific contract performance requirements, including medical intelligence gathering, immunizations, logistics packages and manpower.

With its initial focus on medical support initiatives in U.S. military theaters in Iraq and Afghanistan, CHS International is strategically positioned for rapid expansion in the global marketplace.

CHS Middle East, LLC
Through its Middle East division, CHS International provides medical support to approximately 9,000 interpreters and subcontractors working with United States government affiliates in the Middle East.

CHS Americas, LLC
CHS International’s Americas division offers medical support services in North and South America and their associated islands and regions, offering onsite health centers, exams and behavioral health services to U.S. military in the Western hemisphere.

Onsite Health Units
CHS specializes in staffing, managing and operating onsite health units offering a range of medical support services, including:

  • Injury treatment and management
  • First aid and emergency response
  • Biometric screening programs
  • Immunizations, vaccinations and allergy shots
  • Travel medicine programs
  • Acute symptom treatment and management

  • Population health risk analysis and outcomes reporting

Medical Exams Programs
Pre-Placement Deployment Exams
CHS offers fast, complete exams to make sure job candidates are medically capable of performing essential job functions safely, and that ADA requirements are met.

Periodic Deployment Exams
CHS conducts exams and provides medical and lifestyle recommendations.

Deployment Exams
CHS provides special travel exams to fulfill contractual requirements mandated for international government-related civilian, public and private sector appointments.

CHS follows up each examination with medical reporting as appropriate. For consistency and quality assurance, a review of all exams is performed by the CHS corporate medical team. Recommendations are made for further evaluation wherever warranted.

CHS has provided emergency medical response to nearly every major world event that has touched our nation, from the September 11 attacks to the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Our ability to respond quickly, meet the challenges and successfully deliver quality medical services for our clients is proven.

  • A major services contractor supporting FEMA tasked CHS with providing extensive 24/7 medical support services for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita evacuees being housed in multiple shelters in San Antonio, TX. Within days, CHS assumed medical operations and ambulance services at all shelters and provided a broad range of health services: from supportive medical care to the general and special needs population, pharmacy to transport, as well as occupational health, industrial hygiene, mental health, case work and safety services.
  • CHS sent a medical readiness team with two doctors and two nurses to NASA’s Stennis Space Center in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, mobilizing within 48 hours of notification. This team provided medical support and immunizations to displaced employees, their families, and contractors.

Behavioral Health Services
CHS offers a spectrum of services both nationally and internationally to maintain a healthy and productive workforce and to respond effectively to crises across varied cultural backgrounds. CHS’ behavioral health teams include mobile teams that can provide onsite response or call center capability, as well as an integrated nationwide network of fully credentialed professionals with specialty training and expertise in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic stress and disaster response. CHS provides on-going and as-needed behavioral health support services through:
